In the Neighborhood The Smith Family

Jason and Marla Smith were brought to central Texas 10 ½ years ago by the military, but the people are what have kept them here. Marla and Jason can’t imagine a better community to live in and raise their two children, Caleb and Clara.

“Our small town is very different from the big city we both grew up in, but we are so thankful for the community we have here in Central Texas…friends have become family…this is our home.”

Jason fulfilled his military commitment and is now the Medical Director of Premier ER and Urgent Care in Temple, TX. He practices medicine there full time as an ER physician and a few shifts a month at Fort Hood’s ER. Jason is an active member of his church, volunteer doctor at Kamp Kanakuk in Branson, MO, and avid outdoorsman. He also enjoys being involved in building his new home and working out.

Jason feels honored to work at Premier ER & Urgent Care because he loves serving his local community.

Marla is involved in their children’s education at Providence Preparatory School in Belton, TX. She volunteers as the Director of Fundraising for The 4-1-1 House, “No Place For Hate Summit” in Austin, TX, and is so excited to be a new board member for the Economic Development Corporation in Morgan’s Point Resort.

Jason feels honored to work at Premier ER & Urgent Care primarily because he loves serving his local community. When asked about what he is most proud of about working at Premier ER & Urgent Care, Jason says, “I feel great about the speed in which patients are seen and cared for, the clean and hospitable environment, and the comprehensive care that we provide to even the most severe injuries and illnesses.”

The Smiths love giving back to their local community and have been able to contribute through Premier ER & Urgent Care sponsorships to Temple Community Clinic, The 4‑1‑1 House & BCYC, and the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation.
