How I Renovated My 188sqft RV

Hey there!

My name is LeeAnn and I decided to go tiny, I’m talking 188sqft tiny, a little over a year ago with my S.O., Jordan, and a bunch of pups.

We were living in Portland, Oregon and paying nearly 2k in rent when the opportunity arose for us to move to the Oregon Coast. We knew we wanted to make the move but we didn’t like the idea of being tied down with a mortgage or another rental. After realizing how many rv parks there are on the Coast we started talking about living in an RV. Of course, my main concern was if we were going to live in an RV then I did not want it to look like one.

So, let me introduce you to our 2002 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel, we call her Diana. 18 years old and a whopping 188sqft. She came to us with old green carpeting, floral window treatments, and a very brown, dark interior.

We completely gutted the interior, painted everything white, replaced the flooring and made custom builds that would better suit our needs for full-time rv living. I have filled our tiny space with as many plants as possible and pieces that are intentional and mean the most to us.

I have been enjoying the renovation over the last year so much, and am still surprised at the amount of little projects I want to get done. One thing I love about living in such a small space is that it is easier to play around with projects and new designs. I never would have imagined that my dream home would come to be a fifth wheel trailer, but I wouldn’t want to be living in anything else during this time in my life. We can go anywhere at any time and still be in the comfort of our own home, it doesn’t get better than that!
